Gardening Club –

Gardening is a popular past time. Run by enthusiastic horticulturally minded staff, this club encourages those who are interested in developing green fingers, nurturing plants and tending to the soil. Children are given opportunities to dig, plant seeds and bulbs as well as water them. This is also an opportunity to have the children treat the animals that live within the soil respect and learn to be careful with them. Safety is a big part of this club and care is taken when using a range of tools. As part of this, everyone is expected to wash their hands when the club has finished. This is a hugely sensory activity and both challenges and appeals to all who take part. This club tends to start at the end of the spring term and takes off during the summer term.
