Thank you for your interest in our school. Our website aims to give a broad picture of what Woodfield is all about.
Woodfield is a school for pupils aged 3 – 19, with severe and complex learning difficulties. Roughly 15% of our cohort have very complex needs, including complex medical and physical needs. Approximately 55% of our pupils have a diagnosis of autism as well as a severe learning difficulty.
We are organised on Early Years principles across the school, we work 1:1, or in small groups of two or three with our pupils, whatever their age – see our recent presentation to parents and carers here
Our curriculum is destination-led and we work closely with parents and carers in order to achieve best outcomes for our pupils.
We have high expectations and use personalised learning pathways to support our pupils to become happy and confident young people – see our newsletters here
If you are considering Woodfield as a possible school for your child, please do not hesitate to contact us to arrange a visit.
I would welcome the opportunity to meet you and answer any questions that you may have.
